5 wild destinations for Summer holiday in Nha Trang

Nha Trang has many beautiful places to visit for Summer Season. You might like to choose between Dao Yen, Diep Son, Doc Let, Bich Dam and Hon Ong for the Summer holidays.

Dao Yen Island (NEST ISLAND) - A sandy shore with twin beaches

Nest Island as it is commonly known, is located in Nha Trang Bay only 25km from Cau Da Port and is popular and well known for birds nest  (a local delicasy). It is also famous for its unique double beach. You can have breakfast or lunch at the restaurant on the island, take the glass bottom boat to view coral, visit the nest caves and should not miss the experience of swimming in the clear waters. Along the stone steps to the top of Du Ha Mountain, you will enjoy magnificent panoramic sea views. Photo: SaRu.

Diep Son Islands

Diep Son Islands are in the waters of Van Phong Bay just 51km north of Nha Trang. Visitors are impressed by the access road connecting the three large islands appearing at low tide.  The Islands are still quite wild and natural. Take a boat trip to the islands and experience the life of the local fishing people and catch clam snails on the sandbars or just enjoy the rocky coast for a peaceful and memorable vacation. Doc Let

Located in Ninh Hai, Ninh Hoa, Doc Let is 50 km north of Nha Trang. There are an abundance of poplar trees and coconut palms lining the coast with beautiful fine white sands stretching for 10 km. As a destination for many visitors to Nha Trang, Doc Let has services such as surfing, parachuting, games on the beach and plentiful seafood with many local restaurants at reasonable prices right on the beach.. Bich Dam fishing village

Bich Dam is the most remote area near Nha Trang located on the island of Hon Tre. It has not been exploited by tourism with a peaceful fishing village located right on the eastern end of Hon Tre Island. The name Bich Dam means green jade colored water and when you go there you will understand why. Truly a beautiful setting. Cau Da port is where you depart by boat to Bich Dam departing at 11.30am. The journey takes about 2 hours to reach this part of the Island, and the boat leaves the island to return to Cau Da Port at 6 am the following day. Tourist services are not available at this end of the Island so you can ask the local people to stay homestay or bring tents to camp on the island. Photo: Thanh Tuyet.

Hon Ong (Whale Island)

Hon Ong is also known as Whale Island located in Van Phong Bay, Van Ninh District, about 100 km from Nha Trang. On the island there is only one resort and services on the island are provided by the resort. The marine area in Hon Ong is a protected area so it remains in pristine condition. Hon Ong is suitable for those who love the sea, like to explore the wild natural beauty of the Island and want a peaceful place for a holiday completely away from busy city life.
